Number five of a six-installment trial period for 1 Million Cups Fargo was fortunate enough to have Courtny Evanson share her newly-patented designs and business proposition for Nevaeh. Her device is a massage table that doubles as a comfortable breast pumping station for new mothers. Courtny participated in North Dakota Women’s Startup Weekend 2014 this past January. During the weekend-long event, she and her team developed the Nevaeh idea with business development plans, ultimately receiving first place in the entrepreneurial competition. With a boost from first prize perks, including startup assistance and legal help from intellectual property lawyers, Courtny has continued to spend time on her idea so that it can become an actual product and organization.

Following Courtny’s pitch at 1 Million Cups Fargo was a lively question and answer period in which Fargo community members showed their support and interest in this entrepreneur’s business plans. Eager audience members expressed a willingness to help Courtny progress with her plans to create Nevaeh as a full-fledged business with a diversified product line.
