StartupBREW Fargo: TEDxFargo Takeover Day
StartupBREW Fargo is a weekly networking event in Fargo on Wednesday mornings from 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM.
This event is built on the notion that entrepreneurs do better when they have access to each other and the greater community that supports them. Entrepreneurship is energized over brews – coffee, tea, beer or others. Connection over coffee has been at the center of energizing our community, which is where the name StartupBREW came from.
At the core, this event will place an emphasis on connection in the program by limiting individual speaking time and increasing conversation. This is practiced through Coffee Club, a time to connect before the event, as well as a 20-minute Q+A session with the audience towards the end of the program.
Special this week: TEDxFargo will be taking over for the morning. Experience a glimpse of the ideas and speakers who will be featured at this year’s TedxFargo event.
Rob Port was a pioneer in political blogging in North Dakota, founding SayAnythingBlog.com in 2003. Before beginning his writing career, he spent 10 years working as a private investigator specializing in insurance fraud, accessing public records, and criminal defense.
He publishes digital and print columns covering North Dakota government and politics in publications across the state, and also hosts the Plain Talk podcast along with his co-host Chad Oban.
Dr. Erika Ebbel Angle is the CEO and co-founder of Ixcela, the Internal Fitness Company. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 2012 from Boston University School of Medicine and holds a B.S. in chemistry from MIT.
In 2002 Erika founded Science from Scientists, an award-winning National nonprofit focused on improving Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) attitudes and aptitudes for children aged 7-13.She is a member of the MIT visiting committee for the Dean of Undergraduate Education and was a STEM speaker for the U.S. Speaker Program at the U.S. Department of State.
