Emerging Prairie is excited to welcome Amber Selensky to the team! Amber is joining us as our Emerging Prairie Experience and Events Intern! She will help plan, coordinate, and carry out events, with a strong emphasis on creating a positive experience for everyone involved. Additionally, she will support efforts to promote entrepreneurship and foster community engagement across the FM area!

Tell us a little bit about you!
“I grew up in Rugby, North Dakota. I am the oldest sibling with two younger sisters following me. I came to Fargo to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Management Communication at NDSU. I am graduating this May 2025. I’ve loved checking out Fargo and meeting great people. A few of my hobbies include going out with friends, checking out new restaurants, painting, swimming, fishing, and all things outdoors.”
What college did you attend? What was your major?
“I graduated from NDSU with a Bachelor of Science in Management Communication and a minor in Theatre!”
What’s one activity that energizes you?
“Rock wall climbing, weight training or hanging out with friends and family!”
If you could take a 30 day, all expense paid vacation, where or how would you spend your time?
“I would travel all over Europe visiting small businesses and telling their stories. I would invite one to two friends or family members to go with me. I would document the entire trip via video. I would take the footage and make it into a movie/documentary/series of the hidden gems of Europe traversed and reviewed by Americans.”
Do you have a favorite book or movie?
“My favorite book’s are The Handmaid’s Tale and Margaret Atwood. My favorite movie is either Barbie or 12 Dancing Princesses.”

“I really enjoy the recreational part of Fargo. Fargo Parks are beautiful and well kept up.”
