Tell us a little bit about you!
“I grew up in Kindred, North Dakota, with my parents, two younger sisters, and dog, Oaklee. I knew I wanted to stick around the Fargo/Moorhead area since my immediate and extended family are all within a one-hour radius. I come from a family that is very passionate about the outdoors, so I spend a lot of my time hunting and fishing throughout the year. I have recently begun to travel more and made it out of the country for the first time to Mexico early this summer. I participated in high school theater and speech, so I still enjoy attending local theater productions – my ultimate dream someday is to go to a Broadway performance! Aside from performing arts, I also have a passion for painting and drawing. My favorite pastime, however, is simply being around the people I love most!”
What college did you attend? What was your major?
“I am currently still attending NDSU for marketing and art.”
What’s one activity that energizes you?
“Being in a group of positive, lively people usually fills my cup. My faith is also extremely important to me, so time spent reading the Bible or in a chapel is always guaranteed to energize and bring me peace!”
If you could take a 30 day, all expense paid vacation, where or how would you spend your time?
“There are so many places I would love to go, but Jerusalem has been on my bucket list for several years. To see the place where Jesus walked would be absolutely incredible. The architecture of the churches and buildings is also extremely fascinating to me!”
Do you have a favorite book or movie?
“I’m a huge fan of classic books and movies, as well as historical fiction/non-fiction. My favorite book right now is The Women by Kristin Hannah, and my favorite movie is Pearl Harbor!”
Tell us one random fact about yourself!
“On my 18th birthday, I went moose hunting with my dad and grandpa and successfully filled my tag!”
What’s your favorite part about living in the FM area? What’s your favorite hidden gem that Fargo has to offer?
“I’ve never worked in downtown Fargo before, let alone a historic building, so that’s been my favorite part of working here so far. There are so many beautiful parks to visit in the city, many I’m sure I’ve never even been to. The parks in themselves are what I consider to be hidden gems.”
Why are you excited to work for Emerging Prairie?
“First of all, I’m incredibly lucky and grateful to have received an internship this late in the year! I’ve been used to working in corporate environments for the past couple of years now, so it’s been such a refreshing change of environment to be with a team of fewer than 50 people. I’m excited to make closer connections than I have ever been able to make in a corporate work setting.”
