After two years in the making, local publishing company Spotlight Media has announced the launch of Fargo Inc!, Fargo’s newest business magazine.

This monthly publication, which will launch its inaugural issue in January, joins the ranks of Fargo Monthly, Design & Living, and Bison Illustrated. It will run in place of Stride, a fitness magazine that will now be published bi-annually.

According to publisher Mike Dragosavich, Fargo Inc! will focus on “startups, entrepreneurs, business leaders, the booming technology industry, and new developments and economic news in our region.”

Stories will feature anything from burgeoning startups to companies doing business around the world, Dragosavich said. Resource articles, such as pieces on successful business practices, will pull advice form local businesswomen and men. It will also include an events calendar on local events in the business community.

The fact that Fargo-Moorhead has more jobs than people does not go unnoticed either. Dragosavich said he plans to use the publication as way to highlight open job positions, as well as a few select people who are looking for jobs.

“We plan to highlight a different person each month, and get them hired each month so we have a straight track record,” he said. How those people will be selected, he said, is a process still in the works.

Like Spotlight Media’s other publications, Fargo Inc. will have a heavy emphasis on graphic design and photography in addition to a variety of content. Nate Mickelberg was recently hired for his extensive background in journalism, and will head Fargo Inc! as editor.

Dragosavich already has about 15,000 people he plans to send Fargo Inc. to each month. Others can join a monthly subscription plan. Ultimately, the team hopes to send it across the region and the nation.

“The goal is to expand all over, so that people can read about this city,” he said.
