It is with both sadness and excitement that we share with you that Emerging Prairie’s first employee and event planner extraordinaire, Annika Nynas, will be moving on from Emerging Prairie on Thursday, August 13th, 2015.

AnnikaIt was New Year’s Day 2014 that Annika committed to joining Emerging Prairie, with a mission to increase the quality of event design in our community. In the year and a half since she took that first step, Annika has helped to plan, design, and host countless events.

She led our efforts with the State Bar Association Annual Conference, Intelligent InSites’ Build and Build.you, created the 1 Million Thanks event, planned and executed multiple monthly meetup events such as Startup Drinks, helped launch events like DroneFocus Conf, and most recently, after spending several years on the volunteer planning team, she was the lead organizer for TEDxFargo 2015.

These are just a few of the projects Annika was involved with while with EP. She will forever hold the unique spot of being the first teammate to join the organization, a commitment for which we will always be grateful.

Apart from her expansive contribution with events, Annika has brought a tremendous amount of joy and energy to the team. She has helped us build a culture of commitment to design, celebration of creatives, and a relentless pursuit of improvement.

Annika will be pursuing new opportunities involving events, media, and dance in and outside of Fargo. We are pleased to share that when Annika is in Fargo, she will continue to engage in our community, and will be our newest member of the Prairie Den.

In the wake of Annika’s transition, Emerging Prairie’s Board has begun the search process for a new teammate to help us execute events.

We hope you will all join us in celebrating Annika’s impact while serving at Emerging Prairie and wish her the absolute best as she dives into her next chapter. Thank you, Annika!
