Fargo-based startup, Intelligent InSites, has announced the hiring of Eric Novack, M.D., as Senior Medical Advisor to the company.  Dr. Novack is an experienced orthopedic surgeon based in Phoenix, Arizona.  He holds a medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and has done general and surgical residencies at the University of Washington in Seattle.

As the Senior Medical Advisor, Dr. Novack will “work closely with [Intelligent InSites] healthcare customers to share best practices on using [their] real-time operational intelligence platform to improve care, enhance the human experience, and increase efficiency.”

Intelligent InSites is in the midst of rolling out its real-time location system (RTLS) at hospitals in seven Veterans Affairs locations in the Midwest.  “Once completed, it will include 25,000 active RTLS tags, 94,000 passive RFID tags, and 2,000 wireless temperature and humidity sensors, and will cover a combined total of approximately 4.5 million square feet.”
