Tell us about CBoysTV and your mission.

“Our business is all about making great youtube videos. We make these videos for the people that need that 15 minutes a week to forget about the real world no matter what they’re going through. They can count on us every Thursday night to provide them with some sort of entertainment whether it makes them laugh with us or laugh at us, we just love making funny videos that make people happy. We’ve found that our youtube community is a mix of every type of person and most people’s interests are different, so when we create videos we try to not make them too specific or niche but instead just entertaining for anyone to watch. We’ve met so many people ages 12 to 65 that all say they watch because of something different we do. This is something that we’ve found differentiates us from a lot of other YouTubers that are more niche to a specific market or topic where we wanna stay broad and appeal to everyone.”

What are your entrepreneurial highs and lows?

“I’d say the highest place of our entrepreneur journey was definitely when we hit 1 million subscribers on youtube. Since the day we started making videos for youtube this was always the goal, but for the longest time seemed impossible and out of reach. Only 1 in every 3600 channels or .028% of creators ever hit this milestone so the fact that a couple of kids from nowhere Minnesota with no guidance or help were able to do it felt really really good. ”

“I’d say that for me the lowest point in our journey was when one of our original partners and best friends left the business. Between the legal battle with him, having absolutely no money and what seemed like our entire following and fan base thinking that we wouldn’t be anything without this partner, it felt like everything was against us. ”

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your entrepreneurial journey?

“Structure and planning is our biggest key to success. Before we found any kind of structure in our business we were all over the place and we didn’t have a common goal or road path to where we wanted to go. Also, having 4 partners, communication is huge. The bigger we get the more important we find that communication is to make sure we’re all on the same page and know what our goals are and how we’re gonna continue to crush it! ”
