About Max

Max Mona is the co-founder of ESG Impact. He grew up on the east coast, in Annapolis, MD. Max followed his passion for hockey, which led him to various US states and provinces in Canada.

Max landed in Fargo-Moorhead after getting recruited to play college hockey at Concordia. There, he received his degree in finance. “While in Fargo, I became very involved in the start-up ecosystem and was the founder of the Entrepreneurship Club at Concordia.”

About ESG Impact

ESG Impact is “an ai-driven software platform that targets Healthcare, Oil & Gas, and Tech companies and the funds that invest in them.” ESG Impact’s product auto-generates improvement projects, benchmarking to public markets, and gives reporting deliverables for stakeholder engagement.

“Our mission is to democratize access to ESG in private markets by providing a pragmatic and accessible platform that can work with customers at their given stage, industry, and sector.”

Every entrepreneurial journey is different; each including highs and lows. Max explains that one of the biggest challenges that he has faced is navigating the processes of founding a business. He shares, “No one wants to make dumb mistakes with a start-up and we’ve tried to be as intentional as possible. Many of the operational, fundraising, and customer-centric decisions that we’ve made have come from us working with our advisors and support network.”

Max states that founding a company has “taken a village to get to this point, and so the highest and lowest points that we’ve experienced have been working to create the best support system around our team.” A victory that Max and his co-founder Adam have celebrated is the news of their new CTO, Anthony Inman.

When asked how the community can support Max and ESG Impact, Max states, “Wed appreciate any/all introductions into this space as ESG & Sustainability is gaining huge momentum within the Oil and Gas industry specifically.”
