ABOUT CAROLINE & HANNAH

Caroline and Hannah are the publishers and co-founders of Bismarck Magazine, in downtown Bismarck, ND. Both Hannah and Caroline attended the University of Mary where they first met through DECA. Caroline was a Business Administration major with a minor in PR and Hannah was a double major in Finance and Marketing.

Caroline’s entrepreneurial spirit started very young when her and her brother started a vending machine business. She always knew from a young age that she would continue to own her own businesses and work for herself. Hannah, on the other hand, didn’t think about entrepreneurship until college, after all four years in DECA and creating different business plans through school the idea of starting her own business became even more attractive and a goal.

Shortly after graduating college the two friends decided to embark on a new adventure, quitting their full time jobs to start their own thing. In November of 2015 Hannah and Caroline incorporated and in March of 2016 they published their first magazine. There are many highs and lows of owning a business, the lows would be the constant uncertainty if a new idea is going to work and make your company profitable and the highs are the exact opposite, when those crazy ideas actually work.

ABOUT BISMARCK MAGAZINE

Bismarck Magazine focuses on highlighting the culture and lifestyle of the Bismarck, Mandan and Lincoln areas, specifically the downtown, entrepreneurial spirit of the community. Bismarck Magazine looks to capture and preserve the moments and memories of Bismarck, ND in order to showcase to the community. Neither Hannah nor Caroline are from Bismarck, ND, but fell in love with the city and wanted to create a staple for the community that showed it in the best light and the way they saw Bismarck.

Bismarck Magazine was and still is the first full size, perfectly bound, city magazine for and about the community. The idea for the magazine happened over lunch with two other friends. All were laughing and talking about the future, dreaming big and talking about what they wanted life to be like. Both Hannah and Caroline were not thrilled with the positions they were in at work, and both knew they wanted to start something. The simple question was asked “what does Bismarck need?” The answer…”A central spot that highlights people, events and things to do in the community.” Bismarck Magazine was born that day.

The biggest way to support Bismarck Magazine is to read it, share it and talk about it. We have great advertising opportunities with multiple price points and if you own a business to simply think of Bismarck Magazine and their two other publications as an option.
