One of Emerging Prairie’s most recent projects has been to establish a legitimate coworking space in the downtown Fargo area. It is meant to be a place where subscribers can continue their entrepreneurial efforts while surrounded by like-minded individuals as well as all the necessary business necessities. This means things like Internet access, coffee, and the proper desk space to move forward with a business idea.

The beauty of the space is that it is predominantly open: business owners will be working right alongside individuals from other organizations. The intent is to create a greater sense of community and bounce ideas off each other to grow businesses. Think of it as what you feel during weekly 1 Million Cups Fargo events except up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! There will also be quiet zones provided in the space.

As a bit of a test run, Emerging Prairie has been reserving the meeting room of Atomic Coffee in downtown Fargo every Thursday from 1:30pm to 5:00pm. Everyone is invited to participate in this free experience. Show up, grab a cup of coffee (on us, of course!) and accomplish some of your afternoon tasks.

Coworking at Atomic continues this Thursday, May 22, from 1:30pm to 5:00pm. Show up when you can, and leave when you want to do so! Representatives of Emerging Prairie will be there if you want to discuss a membership with the official coworking space that will be completed later this summer.
