Startup success at 1 Million Cups Fargo

Speaking at last week’s 1 Million Cups Fargo gathering was a familiar group out of Bismarck, North Dakota: CoSchedule. Justin Walsh and Garrett Moon were present to tell all of Fargo’s entrepreneurial community about their recent success and spinoff from the parent company Todaymade.

CoSchedule

After multiple years of iterations, and necessarily numerous side projects and products, the duo realized they could create a WordPress plugin that would encompass all editorial tools on one sleek platform. Such a creation would allow for much simpler advertizing of blogs and other WordPress-based websites because it pushes out content to accounts on multiple social media services.

In business since 2013, CoSchedule already boasts over 500 customers globally with increases every month. Monetarily, the plugin recently generated over $500,000 in seed funding in order to further its expansion and development. With this successful fundraising finished, Justin and Garrett are now looking to increase awareness of CoSchedule with an ultimate goal of becoming one of the top ten plugins WordPress has to offer.

The Stage at Island Park continues to host 1 Million Cups Fargo on Wednesdays at 9:15 AM.
