“We believe interns are a vital part of the community,” said Emerging Prairie co-founder Greg Tehven, as he announced the program this morning at 1 Million Cups. “Through this, interns can have the opportunity to get to know other interns in the community, and get some leadership development training.”

Emerging Prairie Internship Experience objectives

The program objectives are to provide interns with personal development, professional development, and community building experiences. This includes:

  • Weekly one-hour coffee sessions at various coffee shops downtown, where interns can grow relationships with other interns and get an insider’s scoop on upcoming events in the community (Fridays from 7:30 – 8:30 am, coffee is provided).
  • Three leadership sessions with guest speakers from the community and executives of participating companies. (Previous companies include Intelligent InSites, Arthur Ventures, Kilbourne Group, Preventice.
  • A team building experience in the form of a downtown Fargo scavenger hunt. Yes. A scavenger hunt. In downtown Fargo.
