One Herd shows it has game at 1 Million Cups Fargo

One Herd 2This update is becoming increasingly easier to write: it was another packed room at the Plains Art Museum as we sat down to chat with Mike Dragosavich and his One Herd business. The online clothing store founded in Fargo boasts official licensed North Dakota State University gear for the national Bison fan base. During our time last Wednesday morning, Mike discussed how One Herd moved from an idea to a fully-fledged business in a matter of weeks.

While other clothing outlets exist for Bison clothing, Mike set out to create something unique. The concept that differentiates One Herd is its focus on culture – creating a community around the already-beloved yellow and green. Apart from original designs and clothing, Mike established a giving model in which every product purchased on his site means a dollar donated to a charitable organization. Being able to write checks to worthy causes is just one of the perks Mike has gained with One Herd.

Watch One Herd continue to expand as its products diversify and its model becomes more intricate. Dakota Medical Foundation has signed on to match funds donated, and independent businesses now have the opportunity to match based on specific products, meaning some individual purchases are generating as much as 3 dollars for charity. There is currently no better option in the marketplace to give back and gear up if you are an avid NDSU supporter.

This week we’re expecting just as large of a community showing to support HackFargo, the winning team of Startup Weekend Fargo 2014. Come for the coffee, come to share ideas, and come to learn about this organization that started only three days ago. It all goes down on Wednesday, March 12, at 9:00am in the Plains Art Museum, with coffee courtesy of Danielson Legal, LLC. Register here!
