Emerging Prairie is excited to welcome Braxten Bastian to the team! Braxten joins us as the Startup Coordinator Intern, where he will assist the Ecosystem and Program Management Offices to meet with startups, map our AgTech startup ecosystem, and identify opportunities to engage startups in Grand Farm Activities.

Tell us a little bit about you!

I grew up in Corvallis, Oregon, and came to the FM area to study Agricultural economics at NDSU. My hobbies are hunting and fishing.

 

What college did you attend? What was your major?

I am currently a sophomore at North Dakota State University.

 

What’s one activity that energizes you?

Hunting energizes me.

 

If you could take a 30 day, all expense paid vacation, where or how would you spend your time?

I would take a vacation and hunt Red Stag in New Zealand. I would also go to Tasmania to hike in their forests and lay on the beach.

 

Do you have a favorite book or movie?

My favorite movie is We Were Soldiers.

 

What’s your favorite part about living in the FM area? What’s your favorite hidden gem that Fargo has to offer?

It has all the resources that come from being in a big town and is close to numerous hunting and fishing opportunities.
