Emerging Prairie would like to extend a huge thank you to three leaders completing their time on our board of directors. Jake Joraanstad, Tim Brookins, and Alison Barmann played an integral role in shaping our values, mission, and vision. Each member has brought a unique perspective and expertise that we are eternally grateful for.
Their leadership will be missed, but we look forward to their future engagements and to how they may continue improving the human condition both with Emerging Prairie and as independent forces. A huge cheers to:
JAKE JORAANSTAD
Jake was one of the first believers in Emerging Prairie. He exemplifies our mission in his leadership style as an encourager, active participant, and believer. He’s pushed us to dream big about making a difference in the world. He’s put in his time, his talent, his treasure, and he’s truly gone above and beyond to be a champion for all entrepreneurs.
ALLISON BARMANN
Allison may be the smartest person to have ever been on our board. She demonstrated wisdom in her leadership and is a great example of how to collaborate. She’s given us insight and guidance on focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is strategic, thoughtful, and has helped us think about how to build a robust ecosystem.
TIM BROOKINS
Tim is an early believer and technologist. He’s been an advocate for being thoughtful in actions and great stewards of people’s resources. As a contrarian, he’s helped us be about action versus promise. He encouraged us to get our house in order and our foundation in place. As a ‘tie your shoes before you run guy’, Tim played an essential role in an ecosystem full of dreamers.
