About Homegrown Capital

Homegrown Capital is a traditional venture capital firm. Homegrown Capital has raised $17 million from various investors, who are seeking financial return on their investment. As companies succeed, Homegrown Capital and its investors also succeed.

“Our job is to find the best companies that match our investment thesis and strategy and to make equity investments in those companies.”

Homegrown Capital is making investments in both North Dakota and South Dakota, as well as states that comprise the Northern Plains region. “We’re investing in post-revenue technology-driven companies that show tremendous potential to scale.”

As Tim reflects on the highs and lows of Homegrown Capital he states, “So far, the highest point has been getting our Fund closed (finished fund raising). This was a huge milestone for us and allowed us to turn the corner to focus on making investments.” He follows by explaining that from his perspective, Homegrown Capital has not had any low points yet.

When asked how the community can support Tim and Homegrown Capital, Tim explains that Homegrown Capital is actively seeking founders who are building technology companies. If you or someone you know is interested in connecting with Tim and Homegrown Capital, do not hesitate to reach out.
