Rebecca Binstock, the owner of Simple Sugar LLC, is an entrepreneur passionate about making life a little sweeter. Rebecca earned her B.S. from the University of Minnesota in Biology, M.S. in Classroom Education, Teaching, & Learning from Northern State University, and a J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law. The entrepreneurial route is not for the faint of heart, especially when building a new licensed kitchen during the uncertainty of a pandemic. Though making a new licensed kitchen was one of the most challenging points of Rebecca’s journey, she also expresses gratitude for this opportunity to grow and support her growing business.

About Simple Sugar LLC

The idea to begin this cotton candy-making company sprung from her daughter’s request to serve cotton candy at her birthday party. For weeks Rebecca searched for a local vendor to provide for this wish. After searching, they opted to purchase pre-made cotton candy from the local Sam’s Club; however, it just wasn’t the same. “A few months later, we purchased a cotton candy machine and started to spin cotton candy using a simple recipe of beet sugar and homemade syrup,” says Rebecca.

Rebecca’s daughter inspired her entrepreneurial journey, and in 2018 Simple Sugar LLC was born. “We started Simple Sugar with her, and other kids like her, in ‘mind and to create a treat that is safe and allergen-friendly, inclusive so everyone can enjoy, and delicious,” states Rebecca in a written statement. Simple Sugar’s mission is to create delicious cotton candy using only simple, local ingredients that everyone can enjoy, regardless of food-related intolerances. Simple Sugar is making social gatherings more enjoyable with their all-natural, local treats. Rebecca encourages individuals to support her entrepreneurial efforts and support families and individuals who have food allergies by being inclusive and understanding. Celebrate the sweeter things in life with Simple Sugar, and make sure to interact with Rebecca and her team on Facebook and Instagram
